Transcribe YouTube Videos to Text
Paste a YouTube, Vimeo, or other video link — get an accurate AI transcript with speaker labels and timestamps. No download needed.
How it works
Paste the video URL, choose your options, and hit Transcribe. We extract the audio, send it to Gemini AI, and deliver the transcript to your email.
Why Voiz instead of auto-captions?
YouTube auto-captions miss speaker names, skip filler words inconsistently, and fail on non-English audio. Voiz uses Gemini AI to transcribe the actual audio — so you get accurate text even when captions are missing or wrong.
Supported sites
YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Twitch, and 1000+ other video platforms. If the video is publicly accessible, we can transcribe it.
FAQ
- Is it free to transcribe YouTube videos?
- Every account gets 60 free minutes per month. Paste a video URL, enter your email — no registration needed.
- What video sites are supported?
- YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Twitch, and 1000+ other platforms. If the video is publicly accessible, we can transcribe it.
- How is this different from YouTube's auto-captions?
- YouTube auto-captions are generated from speech recognition without speaker labels or formatting. Voiz re-transcribes the actual audio with Gemini AI, adding speaker labels, timestamps, and optional translation.
- How long does transcription take?
- Most videos are transcribed in 2–5 minutes. The result is sent to your email.
- Can I transcribe private or unlisted YouTube videos?
- Only publicly accessible videos can be transcribed. Private or age-restricted videos are not supported.
- What languages are supported?
- 50+ languages including English, Spanish, Russian, French, German, Portuguese, and more. Voiz auto-detects the language spoken in the video.
- No captions on this video — the transcript is disabled or not showing. Can Voiz still transcribe it?
- Yes. YouTube only shows a transcript when the video has captions — either uploaded by the author or auto-generated. If the author turned captions off, or the spoken language isn't covered by auto-generation, the transcript panel simply never appears. Voiz doesn't read captions at all: it transcribes the audio track itself, so it works on videos where caption-based tools come up empty.
